Drive up Doi Suthep mountain to visit Chiang Mai’s most famous temple with an outstanding panoramic view over the city. Built in 1383, it reflects some of the finest aspects of Northern Thailand’s architecture. Visit the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Phuping Palace, the royal winter residence. (These may be closed if Royal family members are in the residence).
